Hi, My name is Rocco van Straten alias Rocco de rockert.

I am 19 years old.  My passion is snow and wakeboarding. And for me it's not  just actionsport,  it is who I am, My way of life. That's what is makes it so cool. Everybody is a friend, and we try to help eachother out.

I started young with snowboarding at the age of 9. My parents took me for winterholiday skiing since I was 3 years old, but I always looked at the boarders and the decision was quickly made snowboarding became my drive in life. So I was allowed at age of 9 to start to learn how to snowboard on plastic in our city. I was a quick learner and after 1 year I started with Freestyle indoor training.  

Since then, I have progressed a lot in my style of riding and all my trainings have paid off. Now I am in the Dutch National Snowboard Team and compete al over the World.

My interest for wakeboarding was triggered at age of 15 by participation in an O'Neill event. They told me that I had talent and they asked me to train with them. Because it's so much fun I made a quick progress behind the Boat and under the Cable and started competing in both diciplines as well. For wakeboarding I am also part of the Dutch National Team disciplines Wakeboard Boat and Cable.

2010 is my year I became Vice-World Champion Cable Wakeboard 2010. I am very proud of that.

Wake and snowboarding is booming, go practise and I hope to see you somewhere in the season. Dont think, just do-it!
